Nubrella, new type of umbrella, is protective bubble that will prevent you from being wet in the rain. The name Nubrella means new+umbrella. It is the first truly hand free umbrella and the first aerodynamically-designed in the world.
This invention was created by Alan Kaufman on one windy day in December 2002 when Alan was standing in one of his wireless stores. He began to observe people on a street in New York City struggling to manage their windblown umbrellas in the rain. It was at that moment an image popped into the mind of this inventor. Immediately he ran over to a desk and drew that image and thus Nubrella was born. On Friday January 29, Kaufman was seen on ABC's reality TV show Shark Tank presenting his $39.99 Nubrella to a panel of five investors.
Kaufman found that it is difficult to use the normal umbrella in the windy weather. Furthermore, if there is a hand -free umbrella, you are able to easily ride bicycle in the rain. This useful umbrella will protect a cyclist's head, face and shoulders from rain, wind, snow and extreme cold. It uses a patented shoulder strap to allow it to be used hands-free. So talking on the cell-phone or sipping a hot cup of coffee while walking in the rain will not only be possible, it will be probable with the Nubrella. Besides that, comparing to today's traditional umbrella design, with the new oval, streamlined and aerodynamic design, Nubrella is safer and more reliable as it has no sharp points, poles or rods.
With an underarm strap, this invention allows all of us who have ever worked outside in the rain or lugged groceries home in inclement weather to do so under a protective bubble that won't blow away. You could even play golf with one.
The Nubrella also promises to never invert in a wind, so no more sudden drenching.
